Michaela FoulkesWhen Michaela Foulkes was first introduced to Russian Kettlebells in 2006, she found them to be the perfect alternative to traditional weight lifting. Since then, she’s has been professionally and successfully training individuals to use Kettlebells ever since. Her approach is patient, focused on form, and she instructs clients to listen to and trust the feedback they get from their bodies. Her goal is to make workouts fun, challenging and effective. “It’s a wonderful experience to see individuals strive and surprise themselves. I love being a part of their achieving more.”

Michaela has her personal training certification through the American Muscle and Fitness Institute and received individual Kettlebell training through a local apprenticeship program. Since 1999, Michaela has also practiced as a licensed massage therapist, as well as being an independent distributor for USANA, an internationally recognized health science company.

Michaela has also been teaching kettlebells in the Brown University community since 2008. Her students range from athletes to librarians, in their late teens to 70+ years. Through working with a committed group, she has created a program that builds individuals up slowly so they become conditioned more gradually and are also able to perfect their form. She has taken this model and uses it in a 6 week series for individuals who are interested in kettlebells, but that want to ease more gently into using them.
